This past week, I ran a test. A direct showdown between Facebook's new dynamic ads feature and our usual ad setup. The results were eye-opening. 😳 Facebook has been pushing their dynamic ads as the next big thing. But guess what? In our head-to-head test, the dynamic ads underperformed by a staggering 22.45% on average across EVERY key metric. Click-through rate, engagement, conversions - you name it. 📉 Why does this matter? Because it's easy to get caught up in the latest features and trends, believing they're the magic bullet. But the reality is often more complex. 🔹 Not One-Size-Fits-All - Dynamic ads might work wonders for some, but they're not a universal solution. 🔹 Know Your Tools - It's crucial to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each ad type. Blindly following the herd can cost you. 🔹 Test, Test, Test - The only way to truly know what works for YOUR audience is through testing. What works for the masses might not work for you. When your ad sets on Meta are doing particularly well, you’ll see this “High Performing” badge appear But what do you do? You leave it alone DO NOT TOUCH IT Duplicate it and scale from there, you’ve got a winning formula, don’t mess with the hugely valuable data you’ve gathered Take what’s worked, the creative, the wording, the offer, the landing page, the conversion rate, the titles, the description, the media type, the media length, the engagement rate.. and use it as a template for the next 2,3 or 4 ad sets This is how you scale your ads Upping the budget will shit on all your progress and your turnover Source: I’ve spent £500k of ad spend on Meta over the last 5 years 🫡


"We've tried that before, and it doesn't work" ❌️ Probably the no.1 objection I hear in regards to paid ads Sometimes it doesn't But 90% of the time, it can work and does work I've been working with this client for about 1.5 years now They've just opened another shop in a different country Here's my top tips for paid ads: 1. If you've did them yourself and claim they don't work, you don't know what you're doing. 2. Invest the money in to someone or an agency that deals with them every day, they'll know a lot more about it than you ever will. 3. 90% of the time, paid ads are an investment, not an expense. You'll make it back, and lots more. 4. Look for recent case studies with actual £ figures, it's strange how many agencies have case studies without the bit that actually matters, the ad spend and revenue generated. 5. Never ever take recommendations from a Facebook group, they're dangerous places for making important business decisions. If you want to grow your business using paid ads, I'll take meetings any time next week but after that, I'm closing the doors for at least 6 weeks to focus on our next stage of growth for @wearesmartmarketing DM me if you're ready to scale 🚀
